Have you ever wanted a customized address sign for your house or how about a customized table with metal legs with endless options of artwork to choose from ranging but not limited to whales or wolves, to beavers, and yes even Santa Claus for that special time of year! The design you choose can be placed between the metal frame of the table legs, bringing even more character to your home. They also specialize in creating custom gates with any silhouette that you choose, along with custom hinges and handles to match. Yes, they create amazing art! What sets them apart from others is that each piece has its own special twist, made just for you. That is after all what custom fabricating is. In the beginning, after Shyla finished her first year of carpentry school, she went to Vancouver Island and not too long after her departure, Tom followed his heart and arrived to stay on Vancouver Island. This decision, looking back, was what gave their own impossible idea of starting a business, possible. Their dreams really started to become real the more they worked together in making valuable business contacts, who later became valuable mentors that helped make their dream of Northern Hart Designs be what it is today!
“If it wasn’t for Shyla’s Parents letting us stay and have space in the shop on Vancouver Island, as well as my mothers, shop back in Prince George, who knows where we would be today,” says Tom, “Having their support was what kept us pushing forward.”

Another fire pit was a ball, three feet across, that looks like something out of Dante’s Inferno…or a flaming Pacman. It is big enough for a thirteen-year-old boy to sit in. Fire pits and outdoor furniture and décor are in demand right now. Later, when the weather cools off, people will be asking about the possibilities of custom indoor furniture.
